To prepare the dough:
- 1 cup of water
- A quarter cup of butter
- A tablespoon of sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Two-thirds of a cup of flour
- 1 egg
for coating:
- Half a cup of sugar
- A tablespoon of cinnamon
- Vegetable oil as needed (for frying)
steps:
- Mix the sugar with cinnamon in a bowl, then leave the mixture aside.
- To prepare the dough: Put water, butter, sugar, and salt in a pot on the fire, and leave the mixture until it boils.
- Add the flour and stir with a wooden spoon, then turn off the heat and put the dough in the electric mixer.
- Mix on low speed until the dough cools.
- Add the egg and continue beating at medium speed.
- Place the dough in a pastry bag.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pot over the fire, then make lines of the dough in the oil and leave it until it is cooked and golden, cutting off one end of the dough each time with scissors.
- Remove the dough from the oil and drain it well.
- Coat the dough pieces in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and serve.
- It can be served with chocolate sauce.
